Meet the Owner

Celecia Lyew Kong

Passionate Dancer, Educator, and Choreographer – Empowering the Future of Dance!

I began my dance career at the age of 5 after begging my mom for a year to put me in dance classes. While there I was trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop until I graduated from High School. I enjoyed being a member of the competition team and traveling all over the state to compete.

At Florida State University, I grew my confidence and professionalism as a member of the prestigious Golden Girls dance team, dancing at both basketball and football games, ranking nationally in Jazz and Hip Hop.

I was fortunate to be a part of another FSU team called Kollage Dance Troupe. I performed at many campus events and competitions and also participated in community service with other dancers who became my family while I was in college in a new state.

After completing graduate school I moved to Fort Myers and began teaching Praise Dance in 2012. This is where I discovered how fulfilling it is to mentor and teach the next generation.

Triple C Dance Academy is the natural culmination of the way that God has uniquely gifted me and the passion he has given for dance and mentorship.

Behind the Name

Triple C Dance Academy

The 3 Cs in Triple C Dance Academy stand for Carloyn (my mom), Celecia (myself), and Ciara (my daughter). My mother was my biggest supporter and loved watching me pursue my passion. Her bright smile while watching me from the audience is a visual burned into my memory. She always believed dance would somehow be a career for me. I am honored to be able to dedicate this dance studio to her.

I look forward to being able to share my love of dance with my wonderful daughter. I’m excited for her to be able to experience the magic of dance right along side me. This endeavor is for her as much as it is for my mother.
